Bathroom Monologue: “How do you put out a fire with a can of gasoline?” –a friend

“Make sure the can is dry,
then use the flat bottom to blot out the flames.
Like a human being,
even if it’s filled up with something useless or dangerous,
it can still be put to good use.”

  2. I don't have any arguments about the use that a can of gasoline could encompass, but there are some people whose only use is as a dreadful warning. Which doesn't justify their existence as far as I am concerned.

  3. Hi there John -- somehow, I enjoyed the literary simplicity of this little ditty. The alternative uses of a gasoline can (full or empty) should more often be the subject of poetic muse. :)
